It achieved a price of USD 100,000.00 (€ 84,932.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rose Wylie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Black Strap (Red Fly), which sold at auction in April 2021 for GBP 220,500.00 (€ 253,639.15).

Die Arbeit Red Belt, Red Lipstick von Rose Wylie kam im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 84.932,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Für andere Arbeiten von Rose Wylie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Black Strap (Red Fly) beobachtet, die im April 2021 für GBP 220.500,00 (€ 253.639,15) versteigert wurde.
