Auction result well in line with expectations
The work St Just by Rose Hilton was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2002. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,920.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rose Hilton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in June 2019 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,323.33).

Die Arbeit St Just von Rose Hilton kam im März 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.920,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rose Hilton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2019 für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.323,33) versteigert wurde.
