This artwork by Rosa Bonheur achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2018. In the European Art: Part II auction, the work Le sanglier sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,092.13) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rosa Bonheur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Roi de la forêt in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 607,500.00 (€ 540,672.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rosa Bonheur erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Art: Part II wurde die Arbeit Le sanglier für USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.092,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rosa Bonheur erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Roi de la forêt im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 607.500,00 (€ 540.672,84).
