Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Art Treasures of America: The John F. Eulich Collection, which included the work French lion In A Mountainous Landscape by Rosa Bonheur. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,125.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rosa Bonheur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Roi de la forêt in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 607,500.00 (€ 540,672.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Art Treasures of America: The John F. Eulich Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit French lion In A Mountainous Landscape von Rosa Bonheur zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.125,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rosa Bonheur erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Roi de la forêt im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 607.500,00 (€ 540.672,84).
