The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,106.31) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ronald Searle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Back To School' in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,657.85).

Die Arbeit Walk On von Ronald Searle kam im Juni 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.106,31) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ronald Searle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Back To School' im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.657,85).
