In March 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer, which included the work Lord Beaverbrook by Ronald Searle. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,131.03), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ronald Searle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Back To School' in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,657.85).

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lord Beaverbrook von Ronald Searle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.131,03) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ronald Searle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Back To School' im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.657,85).
