Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Road: Herbert Morrison Electioneering by Ronald Searle was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,992.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ronald Searle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Back To School' in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,657.85).

Die Arbeit On The Road: Herbert Morrison Electioneering von Ronald Searle kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.992,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ronald Searle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Back To School' im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.657,85).
