Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ron Davis could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living with Art auction, the work Triangle Slice; Diagonal Slice and Two Circle Rectangle (from Rectangle Series) changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 592.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2013 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,173.02).
