Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Riposo in montagna by Romualdo Locatelli was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romualdo Locatelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gambuh Dancer in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 6,620,000.00 (€ 659,036.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Riposo in montagna von Romualdo Locatelli im Mai 2017 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.600,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romualdo Locatelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gambuh Dancer im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.620.000,00 (€ 659.036,89).
