A top price for Romualdo Locatelli - as previously expected
The work Gambuh Dancer by Romualdo Locatelli was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. It changed hands for a price of HKD 6,620,000.00 (€ 659,036.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 5,500,000.00 – 6,800,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Gambuh Dancer is the most expensive artwork by Romualdo Locatelli that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Gambuh Dancer von Romualdo Locatelli kam im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 6.620.000,00 (€ 659.036,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 5.500.000,00 – 6.800.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Gambuh Dancer das teuerste Kunstwerk von Romualdo Locatelli, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
