Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady with Pipe by Romualdo Locatelli was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 28,031.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romualdo Locatelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gambuh Dancer in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 6,620,000.00 (€ 659,036.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lady with Pipe von Romualdo Locatelli kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 28.031,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romualdo Locatelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gambuh Dancer im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.620.000,00 (€ 659.036,89).
