Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Young Girl by Romualdo Locatelli was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,211.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romualdo Locatelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gambuh Dancer in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 6,620,000.00 (€ 659,036.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Young Girl von Romualdo Locatelli im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.211,07) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romualdo Locatelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gambuh Dancer im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.620.000,00 (€ 659.036,89).
