Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Lady with Pipe by Romualdo Locatelli. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 750,000.00 (€ 74,376.35), 15% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Romualdo Locatelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gambuh Dancer in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 6,620,000.00 (€ 659,036.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady with Pipe von Romualdo Locatelli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 74.376,35) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Romualdo Locatelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gambuh Dancer im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.620.000,00 (€ 659.036,89).
