Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Roger Hilton was auctioned at Phillips in London in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,256.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Hilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work December 1960 in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 241,219.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Roger Hilton kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.256,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Hilton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit December 1960 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 241.219,11).
