Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Marché En Bretagne by Roger de la Fresnaye was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2020. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 72,437.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger de la Fresnaye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La conquête de l'air, avec deux personnages in March 2017 with an auction result of EUR 2,370,500.00.
