Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Sunset by Roe Ethridge was worth USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,267.39) to a buyer in March 2020. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Roe Ethridge; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Myla With Column sold at auction in May 2014 with the realized price of USD 33,750.00 (€ 24,743.40).
