Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Roe Ethridge could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Image World | Contemporary Art from a Private American Collection auction, the work Studio with Red Bag changed hands for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,429.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roe Ethridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Myla With Column in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 33,750.00 (€ 24,743.40).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Roe Ethridge konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Image World | Contemporary Art from a Private American Collection wechselte die Arbeit Studio with Red Bag für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.429,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roe Ethridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Myla With Column im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.750,00 (€ 24.743,40).
