In March 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Bear Witness | #SothebysBearWitness, which included the work Diamond In A Goat'S Ass (A Lyrically Poetic Euphemism For Pretension) by Robert Williams. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 60,486.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Diamond In A Goat'S Ass (A Lyrically Poetic Euphemism For Pretension) is the most expensive artwork by Robert Williams that we have observed at auctions so far.
