In March 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work River Reach by Robert William Vonnoh. The auction ended at the price of USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,885.49), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert William Vonnoh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Blue Chair in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 52,962.03).

Im März 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit River Reach von Robert William Vonnoh zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 9.885,49) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert William Vonnoh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Blue Chair im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.700,00 (€ 52.962,03).
