Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,212.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Robert Vickrey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Green Thought in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 35,312.50 (€ 28,958.91).

Die Arbeit Sparkling Shadows von Robert Vickrey kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.212,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Vickrey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Green Thought im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.312,50 (€ 28.958,91).
