Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Robert Morris was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction at Christies in New York in May 2018. It achieved a price of USD 300,000.00 (€ 257,069.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Morris - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 1,258,500.00 (€ 965,403.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Robert Morris wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 257.069,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Morris mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 1.258.500,00 (€ 965.403,50) versteigert wurde.
