Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Robert Morris achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. In the Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell auction, the work Swift Night Ruler sold for EUR 378,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Morris - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 1,258,500.00 (€ 965,403.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Morris erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell wurde die Arbeit Swift Night Ruler für EUR 378.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Morris mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 1.258.500,00 (€ 965.403,50) versteigert wurde.
