Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Medley could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Made in Britain auction, the work The Mountain changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,105.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Medley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red and green figuration in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 25,280.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Medley konnte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Made in Britain wechselte die Arbeit The Mountain für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.105,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Medley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red and green figuration im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 25.280,67).
