Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nymph and Faun by Robert Medley was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Christies in London in March 2013. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,815.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Medley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red and green figuration in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 25,280.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nymph and Faun von Robert Medley wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.815,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Medley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red and green figuration im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 25.280,67).
