Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2000 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work Moehan Range N. 2 by Robert Johnson. The price achieved of AUD 2,937.50 (€ 1,777.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Bridge Street in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 14,400.00 (€ 8,610.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moehan Range N. 2 von Robert Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.937,50 (€ 1.777,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Bridge Street im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 14.400,00 (€ 8.610,86).
