In the THE DORIS DUKE COLLECTION auction, the work Temple of Flora: The Superb Lily sold for USD 3,585.00 (€ 2,943.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert John Thornton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Temple of Flora: six plates in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,848.34).

In der Auktion THE DORIS DUKE COLLECTION wurde die Arbeit Temple of Flora: The Superb Lily für USD 3.585,00 (€ 2.943,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert John Thornton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Temple of Flora: six plates im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.848,34).
