Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Jacks could be acquired at Christies in Sydney in August 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work Blue for Pablo changed hands for AUD 7,637.50 (€ 4,511.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Jacks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed, which sold at auction in May 2001 for AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,494.71).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Jacks konnte im August 2003 bei Christies in Sydney für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS wechselte die Arbeit Blue for Pablo für AUD 7.637,50 (€ 4.511,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Jacks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für AUD 25.850,00 (€ 15.494,71) versteigert wurde.
