Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summer 9 by Robert Arthur Goodnough was sold in the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in July 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,512.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Arthur Goodnough have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Circle with Red in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,987.15).

Die Arbeit Summer 9 von Robert Arthur Goodnough wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.512,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Arthur Goodnough auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Circle with Red im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.987,15).
