Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jeune Fille by Robert Demachy was sold in the Photographies auction at Sothebys in Paris in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 7,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Demachy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frederick Holland Day in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 63,102.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jeune Fille von Robert Demachy wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Photographies bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 7.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Demachy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frederick Holland Day im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 63.102,34).
