Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Jeune Fille Couchée, 1905 by Robert Demachy. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,779.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Demachy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frederick Holland Day in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 63,102.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jeune Fille Couchée, 1905 von Robert Demachy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.779,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Demachy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Frederick Holland Day im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 63.102,34).
