Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Robert Delaunay achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in October 2019. In the Paris Avant-Garde auction, the work Étude pour "Air, fer et eau" sold for EUR 754,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Delaunay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tour Eiffel in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,462,375.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Delaunay erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paris Avant-Garde wurde die Arbeit Étude pour "Air, fer et eau" für EUR 754.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 350.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Delaunay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tour Eiffel im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.737.250,00 (€ 4.462.375,53).
