Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Travel Notes by Robert Cottingham was auctioned at Phillips in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,458.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Cottingham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Barrera-Rosa'S in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 346,000.00 (€ 310,731.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Travel Notes von Robert Cottingham kam im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.458,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Cottingham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Barrera-Rosa'S im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 346.000,00 (€ 310.731,93).
