The work Head I by Robert Clatworthy was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2008. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,100.58) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Clatworthy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horse & Rider in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Head I von Robert Clatworthy kam im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.100,58) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Clatworthy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horse & Rider im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 15.258,20).
