A top price for Robert Capa
In April 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Death of a Loyalist Soldier by Robert Capa. The »bidding war« ended at USD 162,500.00 (€ 134,586.72), 35% above the upper estimate. With this result, Death of a Loyalist Soldier is even the most expensive work of art by Robert Capa that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Death of a Loyalist Soldier von Robert Capa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 134.586,72) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Death of a Loyalist Soldier sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Robert Capa, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
