Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Photographies, which included the work Death Of A Loyalist Militiaman, Cordoba Front, September 1936, Known As "The Falling Soldier" by Robert Capa. It changed hands for a price of EUR 75,000.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Other works by Robert Capa have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2018 the work Death of a Loyalist Soldier was auctioned for USD 162,500.00 (€ 134,586.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Death Of A Loyalist Militiaman, Cordoba Front, September 1936, Known As "The Falling Soldier" von Robert Capa zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 75.000,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Robert Capa konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2018 die Arbeit Death of a Loyalist Soldier für USD 162.500,00 (€ 134.586,72) versteigert.
