Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venus and the dilettanti by Robert Anning Bell was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2012. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,083.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Anning Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Reliefs: A Mermaid; The Fortune Teller; And The Ball Of Wool (Two Linked Designs) in September 2021 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,270.28).

Die Arbeit Venus and the dilettanti von Robert Anning Bell kam im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.083,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
