Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Divers by Robert Anning Bell was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,198.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Anning Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Reliefs: A Mermaid; The Fortune Teller; And The Ball Of Wool (Two Linked Designs) in September 2021 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,270.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Divers von Robert Anning Bell kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.198,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Anning Bell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Reliefs: A Mermaid; The Fortune Teller; And The Ball Of Wool (Two Linked Designs) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.270,28).
