Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Marriage At Cana by Robert Anning Bell was auctioned at Christies in September 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,999.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Anning Bell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four Reliefs: A Mermaid; The Fortune Teller; And The Ball Of Wool (Two Linked Designs), which sold at auction in September 2021 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,270.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Marriage At Cana von Robert Anning Bell im September 2021 bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.999,16) den Besitzer.
