Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Questionmark /?2 by Rob Scholte was sold in the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005. The price achieved of EUR 1,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rob Scholte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Overspel (Adultery) in April last year with an auction result of EUR 40,320.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Questionmark /?2 von Rob Scholte wurde im Juni 2005 in der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rob Scholte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Overspel (Adultery) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.320,00.
