Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2019 Christies in Paris held the auction Art d'après-guerre et contemporain, vente du jour, which included the work Native siren by Rina Banerjee. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 12,500.00. Other works by Rina Banerjee have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,408.24) in March 2013 for the work In what seemed at first a monster's colonial dream, leprechauns of amber body and agile mind blew west wondering what it would be like to leave land, ocean, bird, bear, feline and the bounty of horned beasts, to leave our nature for culture.
