Ivory hunters, rubber merchants, labor traders, farm hands, like ancient tree, Banyan tree threw it's tangerine roots from his pale mouth, scraped the earth of wealth with bodies jumping, swaying and swirling, black and brown limbs flying, small hands churning to feed the cream she made with this crimson flesh to colonial kings too far to see, so make them sing with no remorse while nature and savage flicker, to cease upon a candles glow

The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,158.18), 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rina Banerjee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In what seemed at first a monster's colonial dream, leprechauns of amber body and agile mind blew west wondering what it would be like to leave land, ocean, bird, bear, feline and the bounty of horned beasts, to leave our nature for culture in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,408.24).
