Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction From Magritte to Zao Wou-Ki, which included the work Portrait De Femme, Blouse Bleue by Rik Wouters. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 600,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 669,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rik Wouters - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Femme En Forêt, Chapeau Bleu À La Main, Bras Levé, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 1,210,000.00 (€ 1,367,506.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion From Magritte to Zao Wou-Ki durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait De Femme, Blouse Bleue von Rik Wouters zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 600.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 669.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rik Wouters mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Femme En Forêt, Chapeau Bleu À La Main, Bras Levé beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 1.210.000,00 (€ 1.367.506,21) versteigert wurde.
