Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Œuvres sur Papier, which included the work Le Sculpteur D'Haveloose En Croisière Avec Mr Wagemans by Rik Wouters. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,500.00 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rik Wouters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme En Forêt, Chapeau Bleu À La Main, Bras Levé in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,210,000.00 (€ 1,367,506.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Œuvres sur Papier durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Sculpteur D'Haveloose En Croisière Avec Mr Wagemans von Rik Wouters zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.500,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rik Wouters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme En Forêt, Chapeau Bleu À La Main, Bras Levé im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.210.000,00 (€ 1.367.506,21).
