Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Œuvres sur Papier, which included the work Femme Dans La Cuisine by Rik Wouters. The price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rik Wouters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme En Forêt, Chapeau Bleu À La Main, Bras Levé in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,210,000.00 (€ 1,367,506.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Œuvres sur Papier durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme Dans La Cuisine von Rik Wouters zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rik Wouters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme En Forêt, Chapeau Bleu À La Main, Bras Levé im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.210.000,00 (€ 1.367.506,21).
