Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'General Janvier', North Kivu, Eastern Congo by Richard Mosse was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in April 2021. The price achieved of GBP 11,340.00 (€ 13,044.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Mosse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nowhere to Run (Infra series), which sold at auction in May 2019 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,447.75).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.340,00 (€ 13.044,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
