Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Going it Alone by Richard Lorenz for USD 23,500.00 (€ 25,192.97). This price was achieved in the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Lorenz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Last Farewell in May last year with an auction result of USD 504,000.00 (€ 469,667.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Going it Alone von Richard Lorenz für USD 23.500,00 (€ 25.192,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Lorenz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Last Farewell im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 469.667,32).
