Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work At The Watering Hole by Richard Lorenz. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 37,500.00 (€ 26,941.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Lorenz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Last Farewell in May last year with an auction result of USD 504,000.00 (€ 469,667.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit At The Watering Hole von Richard Lorenz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 37.500,00 (€ 26.941,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Lorenz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Last Farewell im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 469.667,32).
