Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Richard Long was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,492.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Long achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Long kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.492,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Long erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
