It achieved a price of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,545.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Admittedly, works by Richard Crosse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of John Crosse (1721-1776), The Artist'S Father, Circa 1770 in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 62,048.86).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Miss Turner Of Uxbridge von Richard Crosse kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.545,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Crosse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of John Crosse (1721-1776), The Artist'S Father, Circa 1770 im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 62.048,86).
