In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, including works from L'École de Paris, The Jewish Artists, which included the work French Napoleonic soldiers receiving intelligence by Richard Caton de Woodville. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,694.55), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Caton de Woodville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bonaparte in Egypt, 21st July, 1798 'Soldiers! Fifty centuries look down upon you from the summit of the pyramids' in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 80,750.00 (€ 127,998.69).

Fifty centuries look down upon you from the summit of the pyramids' im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.750,00 (€ 127.998,69).
